Highlights

The second part starts when Rio and Tokyo make a mistake while hiding on a distant island, leading to Rio’s capture by the police. As part of the talks led by Colonel Tamayo, Alicia Sierra, and others, the gang enters the Bank of Spain with some new recruits from Palermo, Bogota, Manila, Stockholm, and other places to steal all the gold in the vault and regain Rio.

Money Heist Season-2 Plot

The thieves inside the Mint struggle to follow the established regulations in parts 1 and 2, as they deal with violent hostages, mutiny, isolation, and unwilling hostages. Tokyo uses voice-overs to comment on the happenings. Inspector Raquel Murillo of the National Police Corps engages in outside negotiations with The Professor and starts a close friendship with his alter ego “Salva” while Denver pursues a romantic relationship with the hostage Mónica Gaztambide.

The professor’s true identity is gradually revealed to Raquel, who is both emotionally incapable of and reluctant to turn him up to the authorities despite knowing who he is. After 128 hours, the robbers successfully flee the Mint with €984 million printed at the end of part 2, but not before taking the lives of Berlin, Oslo, and Moscow. Raquel finds the Professor again in Palawan, the Philippines, after deciphering the postcards he left for her there a year after the theft.

Money Heist Season-2 Story

The audience was left wondering how long the charade could go on following   Money Heist Season Part 1’s conclusion when it appeared as though the professor was being outwitted by the Police for the first time after they discovered the staging spot. Rather, within the first twenty minutes of the show, we learn that everything was prearranged. Undoubtedly, one of the most intelligent characters I have ever seen in media is the professor.

However, he is unable to contact the group of thieves within the Mint, who depend on him to be both their eyes and their ears, while he is preoccupied with playing the role of boyfriend to Raquel and spending time with the police. The Professor finds himself in a race against time to see how far he will go to avoid being apprehended.

Without the professor’s guidance to tell them what’s supposed to happen next, things inside the Mint start to fall apart. The other criminals question Berlin, who was assigned to oversee the heist inside the Mint. As a result, he makes a decision that has an impact on everyone. Tokyo starts to become insane gradually and tries to topple Berlin alongside Denvir and Rio. Denvir is making love to a hostage throughout this time, Helsinki is making every effort to frighten and agitate Arturo, and Oslo remains silent.

Then, everything is going as planned between Nairobi and Moscow, until Nairobi feels compelled to attempt to ease hostage tensions and Moscow starts to worry about his son. How he is spending his time with the captive he is starting to have a connection with.

The police, however, start to suspect that Raquel could be keeping information from them and wonder why they are always one step behind. Her ex-husband starts to take center stage, and the investigation’s primary goal is to eliminate the heist’s outside influence to get the public to start supporting the investigators once more. There are just two outcomes: either the robbers escape with their intricate plan or they all get captured and sent to jail.

Money Heist Season-2 Reviews

Driven by its clever plot, compelling characters, tense flash points, pounding score, and occasional moments of humor, it’s more of a twisting thriller than a soap opera serial. I would give seasons 1 and 2 a 9 out of 10. They were fantastic. However, Netflix recognized an opportunity to extend the show for two needless seasons, which damaged it and made it unprofitable.

This year’s superb cinematography is even better than last, and the series maintains the sleek, professional vibe it had from the beginning thanks to some deft editing. This extra layer of thought-provoking questions also serves to emphasize the show’s overarching topic of what constitutes good and bad and right and wrong, elevated above other crime thrillers la Casa De Papel. While the third act isn’t flawless, La Casa De Papel remains an immensely charming series and among the greatest heist stories available on television, much like the first season.
