“Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” is a 2023 Hindi movie. Many people know it as RARKPK or RRKPK. It’s a movie that has love, funny moments, and drama. The famous Karan Johar directed this movie. Three talented writers, Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumit Roy, wrote the story together. The film was made by two big movie companies, Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios.
The movie has two major characters. Ranveer Singh plays a young man named Rocky, and Alia Bhatt plays a young woman named Rani. They are very different from one another. But in the movie, they decide to live with each other’s families for a short time before deciding to marry. There are also other well-known actors in the movie. Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi are some of them. They play vital roles in the story.
This movie is special for many fans because it’s the first one Karan Johar made after his 2016 movie, “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.” The team filmed this movie in several places, like Mumbai, New Delhi, and Jammu & Kashmir. The filming started in August 2021 and finished in March 2023. It took a long time because Alia Bhatt was going to become a mother. A musician named Pritam made the music for the movie, and a man named Manush Nandan was in charge of how the movie looks. When the movie was shown in theaters in July 2023, many people enjoyed it. Making the movie cost about ₹178 crore. But the movie earned even more, over ₹298 crore. This means it was one of the most popular movies in India that year.
The movie tells the story of the Randhawas. They are a rich family from Punjab. They have a sweet shop called Dhanlakshmi Sweets which is famous. Something interesting happens in the story. Tijori Randhawa’s father believes he saw a woman from his past named Jamini. This makes Rocky, who is Tijori’s son, want to meet this woman. He learns that Jamini is the grandmother of Rani Chatterjee, who is a famous TV star. Rocky and Rani meet to help their grandparents. But soon, they start to have feelings for each other. But it’s not easy for them. Their families are so different. So, they decide to try living in each other’s houses to understand each other better.
In the story, Rani tries to help the women in Rocky’s family. She wants them to be brave and strong. But Rocky finds it hard living with Rani’s family. They are very educated and sometimes tease him. Then, there’s a big dance event that causes a big fight between them. Rocky does something brave. He stands up to a family member who is being mean. After this, both families have a talk. They decide to be friends. Then, Rocky and Rani decide to marry. Rocky’s family is happy about this. Dhanlakshmi, who is from Rocky’s family, gives Rani a special gift. It’s a recipe for a sweet treat. This is a way to show that she likes Rani. But on the wedding day, she is not there.
