Indian Police Force Season 1 2024: An Action Thriller Cop Drama

In the eerie opening sequence of the episode, multiple explosions occur in the city, inflicting devastation and ruining many people’s lives. Like Shetty’s movies, this cop action thriller also has an exciting chase between Kabir and the attackers, played by Vikram Bakshi (Vivek Oberoi), two committed police officers.Later, they team up with Shilpa Shetty, the Chief of the ATS, to hunt down a man linked to the explosions in Gujarat, which leads them to Haider (Mayyank Taandon). Concerning Haider’s function as the mastermind, the story tackles issues of extremism and terrorism as it develops.

Director

Indian Police Force, which was written and directed by Rohit Shetty from a plot and storyline by Sandeep Saket and Anusha Nandkumar, commits the grave mistake of aiming for banal thrills and surface-level gloss rather than intense, realistic realism.

Story

The capital of India, Delhi, was the target of many explosions on the day that the Delhi Police were scheduled to take part in the anniversary celebrations for the force’s Raising Day. This is where the Indian Police Force picks up. As a result of the bombs, senior officers from the Delhi Police are activated, namely Deputy Commissioner of Police Kabir Malik (Sidharth Malhotra) and Joint Commissioner of Police Vikram Bakshi (Vivek Oberoi).

The terrorist group Indian Mujahideen admits to planning the bombings shortly after they occur. The first pieces of evidence recovered from the crime site, including a child’s witness sketch, link the bombing to an enigmatic guy who later reveals himself to be a young recruit for the terrorist group Shadab (Mohak Meet).

It comes to light that Mayyank Taandon’s character Zarar has been spearheading the terrorist strikes on the ground. He has been residing at the residence of another group member, and it is there that he eventually forges a romantic relationship with the man’s daughter, Nafeesa (Vaidehi Parshurami).

Nafeesa still needs to learn about Zarar’s true identity and goals, though. However, Tara Shetty (Shilpa Shetty Kundra), the chief of the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad, joins Vikram and Kabir’s inquiry. Because of Shadab’s efforts to get in touch with his family, who had been placed under surveillance, the police can quickly catch up with Zarar with Tara’s assistance.

A Tribute to the Indian Police Force

Actor Shilpa Shetty remarked, “It’s not just a cop series; it’s a tribute to the unsung heroes of our nation—the brave police officers.” She went on to say, narrating a tale based on the force: “What Rohit demonstrates is that they’re human, that mistakes are okay, and that there are always two sides to an issue. He has brought that respect and faith back. Considering the amount of work they do, you would think they would receive a paltry salary besides no paid holidays.

Sidharth Malhotra Dishes Out about His OTT’s Character

“You always want your government and law enforcement to protect you as a citizen. Once I got to a certain point, I believed that working for the police was among the hardest occupations in the nation.

“They treat the public with such patience and care for them. I consider it an honor as an actor to have been given a chance to don the uniform on screen. Former Kargil war hero Captain Vikram Batra of “Shershaah” said, “We are the reel heroes, you (police officers) are the real heroes.”

Critics Reviews

The opinions of the critics about the series are mixed. It is, according to one reviewer, in turns funny, absurd, instructive, and enjoyable. Content gave way. A peculiar beast, Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force is a seven-episode series on the bravery of Delhi Police.

Given the old material they are stuck with, the main cast members—Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi—don’t really bring anything new to the table. They act as though they are invincible and full of bluster. Their rhetorical barrage is hollow, and their confidence is strained. The crew does experience tragedy at a critical moment, yet they continue regardless of the risks they are exposed to while performing their duties.

Indian Police Force is happy to serve up traditional action blocks and pursuit scenes, but not the type of comprehensive picture of a city on the brink that Delhi Crime provides.

Force is the most important quality that the Indian Police Force lacks. Playing out like a script, the Prime Video production is as dull as chalk. Only devoted followers of the Cop Universe should attempt it. It is sorely lacking in new creative energy.
